Under general supervision responsible for creating cyber-intelligence solutions to prevent internal or external attacks or attempts to infiltrate company email, data, e-commerce and web-based systems. Implement and support technologies deployed across application, network/perimeter, data, endpoint, identity & access, and mobility domains. Researches attempted or successful efforts to compromise systems security and designs countermeasures. Provides information to management regarding the negative impact on the business caused by theft, destruction, alteration or denial of access to information and systems.
The Sr. Cyber Security Analyst will be responsible for investigating alerts and notification that come out of preventative and detective security platforms on the FedEx enterprise network.
Senior analysts will be responsible for investigating and analyzing hosts that have been determined to be compromised.
Perform host, network, and log analysis as a part of their investigation to determine the extent of an infection or compromise
Serve as the technical escalation point and mentor for lower-level analysts
Manage interactions with internal stakeholders in a professional manner
Document remediation plans to contain and eradicate the threat and secure the environment
Document and communicate findings in case management platform
Analyze and act on actionable threat intelligence
Knowledge/Skills Considered a Plus:
2+ years of relevant security operations experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to lead root cause analysis of problems.
The ability to learn new technology and concepts quickly
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high pressure environment.
Familiarity with Linux, Windows, and network forensic evidence concepts
Knowledge of malware families and network attack vectors.
Knowledge about Exploits, vulnerabilities, network attacks
Familiarity with performing analysis to determine compromise.
Familiarity with the Lockheed Cyber Kill Chain and MITRE AT&CK frameworks
Experience with Firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems, Antivirus Systems, Proxy, Mail Gateway, Endpoint Detection & Response tools, and SIEM
Experience performing host, network, and log analysis from a variety of sources and platforms
Experience with network packet analysis
Effective in collaboration with teams in remote offices
Domiciled Location: Collierville, TN (Suburb of Memphis, TN)

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems and/or equivalent formal training or work experience. Five (5) years of experience in IT information security.
