The Business Intelligence Project Manager (BIPM) will oversee the day-to-day operations of decision support staff to ensure efficient and effective workflow supporting the strategic initiatives of Cook County Health (CCH). The BIPM will maintain the Business Intelligence (BI) report and dashboard inventory in an effort to prevent duplication of efforts and provide leadership for planning, scheduling, delivering and maintaining projects to sustain quality assurance in all reporting activities. The BIPM will assist the Director of Decision Support to align project goals and reporting specifications ensuring compliance will application reporting regulations.
This position is exempt from Career Service under the CCH Personnel Rules.
Oversees and ensures that the day-to-day department operations are appropriately managed, efficiently and effectively.
Participates in the interviewing, hiring, training of staff and conducts performance evaluations.
Ensures reporting resources and analytical tools are leveraged fully to support initiatives of the health system.
Oversees data analysis, integrity and consistency within the BI department.
Recommends changes and improvements to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects.
Ensures necessary hardware, software and network infrastructure services are maintained.
Builds and facilitates collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to increase department profile, reputation, visibility and support.
Develops and implements a comprehensive, visionary strategy designed to continually grow and improve BI operations and performance outcomes.
Provides leadership for planning, scheduling, delivering and maintaining, projects to sustain quality assurance in all reporting activities.
Ensures compliance with all applicable Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), federal, regulations policies and procedures, when applicable.
Maintains BI report/dashboard inventory to prevent duplication of efforts.
Oversees development and implementation of evaluation processes, quantitative and qualitative measurements that ensure project/reporting benchmarks are successfully attained and communicated.
Assists in reconciliation efforts to validate alignment with project goals and reporting specifications.
Determines goals, objectives, outcome measurements and metrics for multi-disciplinary projects in alignment with strategic initiatives of health system.
Participates in the interviewing, hiring, training and development of staff.
Attends department and/or committees meetings, as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Master's degree in a health related field from an accredited college or university ( Must provide official transcripts at time of interview )
Five (5) years of experience working with healthcare data which includes developing actionable dashboards and reports
Two (2) years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Reporting Services
Two (2) years of experience working with Tableau
