The Director, Global Information Security Operations will work closely with other IT groups in ensuring the security administration and protection of information assets including data, systems, databases, networks, and other resources. Accountable and responsible for the Global Information Security Operations function. Responsible for design, implementation, and maintenance of controls and procedures to ensure the integrity of the logical security for all computer-based systems and networks across all technology platforms. This is a Hands-on role with the opportunity to build your team.
Provides oversight and accountability of the day-to-day security operations and/or other administrative areas to include but not limited to: develop and maintain the Security Administration function of maintaining security access to corporate communication and computing systems; implementing and carrying out Information Security policies; review and lead all application projects impacting Information Security; ensure IT and business areas follows established information security policies and procedures; and ensure all information security personnel receive the required technical and security training.
Responsible for the creation, implementation, and administration of the necessary auditable policies, procedures, and standards to protect all information assets from intentional or inadvertent modification, disclosure, or destruction. Monitors compliance of policies and procedures, referring problems to the appropriate department manager.
Work across the organization to provide direction for Information Security initiatives. Assist information owners in identifying and implementing controls to mitigate the threats to the organization’s information assets and computing resources. Identify and recommend security solutions to meet the changes in technology and business operations.
Responsible for the development of Information Security audit and violation monitoring procedures that identify threats to the organization’s information assets and information system resources. Provide assessments on the effectiveness of existing data security procedures and make recommendations for the adoption of revised procedures.
Act as an advocate for Information Security standard methodologies. Consults with IT and business areas management regarding their security risks and responsibility in minimizing those risks. Represent security concerns with application development teams. Conduct application and vendor baseline reviews.
Provides leadership and oversight to security related operations issues. Perform investigations into issues related to unauthorized user or access to computers, network and similar resources.
Serve as focal point for information security issues and provides awareness to the user community and their respective managers. Promotes general Information Security awareness by delivering training and education on security issues as needed.
Monitors the internal control systems related to SOX to ensure that appropriate access levels are maintained.

15+ years of applicable experience and a minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience

Experience in root cause analysis, industry benchmarking, survey evaluation and data interpretation is required.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science + or a related discipline
Five to ten years of experience in the security field highly desirable.
CISSP, CISM, GIAC certifications highly desirable
