Center for the Enhancement of Learning and Teaching: Coordinator for Academic Integrity Initiatives (11-month position) to work with the Assistant Director for Academic Integrity Initiatives and provides support for academic integrity initiatives and processes within the CTE and university as a whole; develops and delivers workshops, presentations, and sanctioned education for students; conducts procedural reviews with students as part of the academic integrity adjudication process; consults with faculty and staff on the academic integrity policy and process; collaborates with related offices and programs on academic integrity student education initiatives and the promotion of academic integrity.
Develops and delivers education for students on academic integrity in a variety of capacities, including classroom and orientation presentations, workshops, online tutorials, and sanction education; conducts procedural reviews with students involved in the academic integrity process and consults with students throughout the adjudication process on the Oxford, Middletown, and Hamilton campuses of Miami University; collaborates with various campus offices and programs to develop education and programming for students or specific courses/programs and train course/program instructors (e.g., Libraries, UNV 101, EDL 151, ACE program); works with Orientation and Transition programs on how messages about academic integrity are communicated to incoming students; supports the administrative functions of the academic integrity adjudication process including entering information in the database, compiling reports, and maintaining records; stays current and informed on trends and literature on academic integrity and best practices for universities; demonstrates an appreciation for and understanding of important multicultural differences across the student body and the practical impact these may have on the effectiveness of educational efforts on academic integrity issues; carries out other duties as assigned by Assistant Director to support academic integrity initiatives at Miami University.
Require: Master’s degree in higher education, student affairs, or related field from an accredited institution; one year or more of directly related experience; must include experience with and knowledge of academic integrity or student conduct processes; good working knowledge of FERPA and ability to maintain confidentiality; educational programming experience for undergraduate college students; facility with student conduct records and processing platforms; knowledge of literature and best practices regarding academic integrity and college students; excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills; facility with Learning Management Systems, social media, and technological tools to be used for education and programming; detail orientated, with strong organization and analytical skills; ability to demonstrate empathy. Position is not eligible for H-1B sponsorship.
