Job Description: Citi Security and Investigative Services (CSIS) is a full-service security and investigative team that protects the assets, integrity, and reputation of Citi and its clients by providing best-in-class investigative products and services to clients across the company. We accomplish this by offering in-house professional security services and independent investigations to clients across all of Citi's businesses and regions, partnering with other Citi business groups, law enforcement agencies, governments and others to protect our employees, businesses, clients and information. The CSIS Crisis Management team is responsible execution of Citi's crisis management process and framework. The team is activated during crisis events and provides notification, escalation and coordination of Citi corporate resources to help resolve emergencies. Crisis Management also provides strategies for businesses to use to protect staff and mitigate risk during a crisis event. Assistance is provided through plan templates, crisis severity-level classifications, along with guidance in creating plans that comply with applicable legislation, regulations, and codes. The CSIS Global Crisis Manager is responsible for Citi's crisis management activities at a global level. This position, which reports directly to the Head of CSIS Global Security is responsible for developing and enhancing Citi's strategy, planning and response to crisis events. In addition, the Global Crisis Manager is responsible for ensuring that effective plans are updated to reflect the current threat landscape in which Citi operates. The Global Crisis Manager provides escalation and coordination of Citi resources to help resolve emergencies. The Global Crisis Manager also provides framework, strategy and training for businesses to use to protect staff and mitigate risk during a crisis event. Assistance is provided through plan templates, crisis severity-level classifications, along with guidance in creating plans that comply with applicable legislation, regulations and codes. The Global Crisis Manager develops and runs table top exercises at the global and regional levels that includes the Citi Crisis Management as well as the Senior Executive Emergency Management Team. The Global Crisis Manager is also responsible for interacting with and updating regulators on an as needed basis as well as during crisis events.
Manage day shift of the Global Command Center team in support of global security functions, across multiple locations and jurisdictions in which Citi has a business presence/operation.
Knowledge and understanding of regional risk environments along with the ability to effectively apply appropriate crisis response protocols to mitigate those risks or react to those risks, as needed.
Coordinate operational processes performed by Regional Command Center support teams.
Ensure management and Global Command Center support teams are properly trained in all aspects of command center process functions and requirements to ensure compliance with global specific operating plans.
Work in conjunction with the Regional Command Center Managers to ensure consistency of protocol responses and dissemination of critical decision making information.
Execute the global guidelines to include; all regional facilities; call trees for senior business leaders and regional CSIS personnel; directory of Citigroup support units; directory of support organizations which would be utilized during a crisis and update country profiles.
Participate in response plans and training exercises to establish baseline organizational response to events.
Develop communications between the other Regional Command Centers, to ensure that consistent actions are performed, as they impact the business and CSIS in general.
During crisis events act as the communication lead and point of contact between field response personnel, senior regional CSIS managers and business leaders.
Enter incident and/or crisis data into case management systems, ensuring accuracy and thorough reporting
Maintain management overview of issues occurring at a high level globally, through internet observation, news media reporting, and establish intergroup communication with other CSIS teams
Review Post-Crisis actions and evaluate performance and processes to determine how well the Crisis Management Plan was executed, lessons learned and update the methodology of the response plan as needed.
Specifications / Qualifications: The candidate must:
Have a proven track record of leadership and project planning experience in complex, dynamic environments (5-10 years preferable)
Have at least 5 years of hands-on operational experience (i.e., tactical, first responder, on-scene type roles) in a military, law enforcement, emergency services, intelligence, diplomatic, or non-governmental organization. Similar experience in a logistical, services, or customer-facing business role in an international environment will be considered.
Have experience with and significant understanding of command center technical tools and solutions in order to enable project management and/or interface with technical teams on such projects. These tools include geospatial intelligence systems, incident and intelligence feeds, case management systems, analytical tools such as Analyst's Notebook, workflow/decision tree software, call management systems, physical security information management systems, network concepts, video wall/display technology, etc.
Have advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products, Access, and SharePoint
Have the drive and highly developed analytical and written/verbal communications skills to produce and present planning and analytical reporting on a wide variety of international security, crisis, business, socio-political, and economic issues.
Must be a poised team player and confident leader who can instil confidence and gain support from all levels of the organization, including senior executives.
BS/BA degree required. Degree in political science, economics, journalism, international studies, or similar fields preferred, although proven work experience in these fields is qualifying with another degree. Master's degree preferred.
Project management credentials or similar experience preferred.
Experience in a military, law enforcement, or governmental command center, staff role, or similar is preferred.
Proficiency with SQL databases and basic coding is preferred
