This Team Lead (Cyber Security) will be responsible for:
Managing the operations security team in securing Boston Children's computing environment.
Establishing plans, managing workflow through the team, tracking and reporting on security metrics, and collaborating with other IT teams.
Managing a group of cyber security analysts who are responsible for security infrastructure, account management, security consultation on IT and clinical projects.
Directing team members in: establishing and maintaining Security Policies, conducting security audit and ensuring compliance, vulnerability scanning and system audits, firewall requests, carrying out security awareness and training.
To qualify, you must have:
Knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts typically acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field with a minimum of five years of related experience.
Ability to effectively manage the employees within assigned unit/department and to persuade and negotiate with peer level managers on issues and programs that impact assigned unit/department.
Hands-on experience with common security tools and products (e.g. IDS/IPS, NGFW, WAF, SIEM/Log management, auditing/vulnerability assessment).
Knowledge with networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, TLS, HTTP, HL7).
Experience with HIPAA, PCI-DSS, or similar regulations preferred.
