As a member of the HRMS systems team in IU HR, this position has primary responsibility for managing the data security functions for the Office of Human Resources. With guidance from the HR Data Steward and the HR HIPAA Officer, as well as support from the HR HIPAA specialist, responsibilities include development and implementation of internal procedures, creating and managing security related documentation, creating and implementing required security training for HR staff, and implementing quality assurance procedures to ensure compliance with security requirements. Serves as a Data Manager for HR systems and has responsibility for managing access provisioning and de-provisioning processes and procedures. The individual will collaborate with Financial Management Services and Academic Affairs offices when security procedures or issues cross functional areas. Additionally, this position will provide support to the HR Data Steward for third party assessment reviews and coordination with COE'S on software purchases and/or contracts to ensure initial and ongoing security requirements are met.
Note: Position will be located in Bloomington.
REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in an IT related field and 5 years of related work experience. Possess a valid driver's license with the ability to be insured by Indiana University.
Combinations of related education and experience may be considered.
Strong knowledge of systems and applications of data.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of general systems design, structure, and life-cycle, as well as an understanding of IU security and privacy policies and guidelines. Candidate must have strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills and be detail oriented and focused on accuracy and attention to detail. Additionally, Excellent interpersonal skills and a customer service orientation. Ability to effectively communicate and exchange information with a wide variety of individuals.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
Standard office physical requirements, including ability to remain in a stationary position at a computer workstation for up to 8 hours in a day.
