We seek a Security Analyst who will improve the security posture of the University through design and implementation of computer security infrastructure, technical analysis, and providing subject matter expertise to diverse communities in collegiate and administrative units across the University.

Analyze complex security threats and automate or streamline response processes.
Optimize security infrastructure and security operations procedures.
Analyze, identify, and respond to security related events.
Research, evaluate, design, and implement security technologies. Perform security operations functions using SIEM and other detection methods.
Advise and assist IT professionals with security mitigation practices.
Participate in incident response activities as needed.
Keep current on information security technologies and the threat environment.

Bachelor’s degree and two years of related work experience or a comparable combination of education, training, and/or experience.
Minimum of two years of information security experience.
Expertise in one or more security-related domains, such as Security Engineering, Network Security, Vulnerability Management, or Security Operations.
Experience with networking concepts, protocols, and services.
Must be technically curious and self-motivated.
Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
