MSK is seeking a Security Analyst to join their team. We are looking for a Security Analyst for our Information Security Department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has the right skills, wants to be part of a dynamic team and wants to use their skills to support our mission here at MSK.
AS THE SECURITY ANALYST, YOU WILL:
Perform and manage technical evaluation and penetration testing of internally-Â and commercially-Âdeveloped applications (web, desktop, and mobile), systems, and medical devices.
Assist in evaluating and developing the security controls for IT solutions of all types (mobile, web, client-server, etc) both pre-Â and postâ
Maintain current knowledge of security vulnerabilities, threats, and industry standard methodologies (both within and external to the healthcare industry).
Participate in appropriate and relevant conferences and courses to maintain technical proficiency.
Assist in developing and implementing an annual personal education plan to develop and maintain currency of security-Âârelated skills, technologies, methodologies, and standard methodologies.
A strong, confident communicator who can collaborate with and provide security guidance to members of the organization across departments and at all levels as well as our external partners.
Able to work and/or attend meetings in New York City, Middletown NJ, regional sites, or vendor sites.
Flexible to work after hours, weekends and holidays when required.
You will be part of a dynamic team
Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Computer Science, IT, IS, Engineering, etc.)
1-3 years' experience (including internships)
Identify and respond to various security incidents and events in a timely and organized manner.
Provide proactive monitoring of external threat intelligence feeds to identify unknown or emerging threast
Familiar with malware analysis and reverse engineering
Familiar with cyber incident response procedures
Familiar with the use of some common Incident Response and Forensics Tools (SIFT, Encas, FTK, Redline, Volatility, etc.)
Familiar with common threat intel tools such as Maltego or Shodan.
Certifications such as GCIH, GCFE, GCFA, GNFA, GREM, or ECIH are a plus.
