Job Summary The Information Security Analyst role maintains systems to protect data from unauthorized users. You will identify, report, and resolve security violations as well as design, develop, test and deploy security for applications or systems. In addition you will collaborate with users to obtain and implement user security requirements. This role also ensures compliance with all Northwestern, state, and federal rules and regulations related to data security and privacy, and works closely with Northwestern IT, individual school and/or department IT staff to ensure security measures are implemented and communicated effectively.
Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree in a major such as computer science, information technology, or related; OR appropriate combination of education and experience.
2 years systems security or other relevant experience required. Experience in the following:
Infrastructure: identity management/provisioning, information security, LDAP, Linux Operating System, Mac OS X Operating System, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook), Server hardware, Storage hardware, Other: Splunk, Qualys, Proof point.
