ITS Security Analyst
The ITS Department at Messiah College has an immediate opening for the position of ITS Security Analyst.
Responsibilities: This full time position provides coordination of IT security policies and procedures that govern access to college computing resources, and promotes security awareness and compliance within the college community. This position works with groups within IT that are responsible for data integrity and its maintenance, as well as user accounts and physical security of IT resources.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree with coursework in information systems. Professional certification(s) or willingness to pursue certification(s) in related security areas a plus. Two years of experience in IT security planning or monitoring is also required.
Skills and Characteristics: Thorough knowledge of information security and privacy best practices; excellent analytical skills and a proactive problem-solving approach; strong communication skills including the ability to deliver effective training; proven organizational skills including time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities; ability to work both independently and collaboratively with others; demonstrated commitment to continued learning and professional development; and demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
