FULL TIME; CAREER Starting Salary Range: $88,100 - $115,000. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Technical leader with a high degree of knowledge in the overall field and recognized expertise in specific areas; problem-solving frequently requires analysis of unique issues/problems without precedent and/or structure. Applies advanced IT security concepts and campus, or Office of the President objectives to resolve broad and/or highly complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Selects methods, techniques and evaluation criteria to obtain results.
Is primarily responsible for the application security program within the Applications and Project Management (APM) portfolio of services. Provides Application Security expertise to establish and support implementation and maintenance of security standards within application development, in collaboration with Information Security analysts within UCSC and across UC. Is the primary analyst that supports risk and vulnerability assessments of applications, and facilitates remediation.
Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
Information Assurance certification such as ISC2 or GIAC (CISSP, CSSLP, GWEB) and/or equivalent experience/training.
Advanced interpersonal skills sufficient to work effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization.
Advanced experience using IT security systems and tools.
Full-time experience serving as a dedicated application security analyst for an organization of similar size and complexity. Solid experience with security processes and procedures.
