| The Software Sourcing Manager will primarily be responsible for strategic sourcing e.g. RFx, contract negotiations and spend management related to software (including hosted, SaaS, Cloud products etc.) covering IT Application, Infrastructure, and Information Security functions. Negotiating cost and terms of Software Agreements including Master Services Agreements, Statements of Work, etc.
Leading Strategic Sourcing projects e.g. the RFx process including gathering business requirements, drafting RFx documents, identifying and qualifying potential suppliers, RFx project management in alignment with Procurement and Sourcing's policies and procedures
Summarizing, reporting and presenting deal, savings and category information to senior management
Building strong relationships with suppliers, internal clients (e.g. IT, LOB Project Managers, Senior Management) and business partners (e.g. IT, Legal, Finance/Planning, Information Security)
Providing Subject Matter Expertise on software and key suppliers
Managing the holistic contractual relationship with several key software vendor relationships
Mentor, train, and appropriately delegate responsibility to junior members of the Sourcing Team
The Procurement & Sourcing Group is responsible for Strategic Sourcing, IT Asset Management and Procurement Operations (which includes purchasing, contracts management and reporting). This position is located in NYC.
Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
5-7 years of relevant work experience in software sourcing desired but not required
Experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating contract terms limiting risk, capturing business requirements, and securing commercial commitments
Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate judgment with regard to management escalation
Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
Strong written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skills to multitask and prioritize projects
Strong problem solving and conceptual thinking abilities
Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities
Self-motivated worker with the ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
Ability to handle multiple complex concurrent projects
Preferred : Experience in the Financial Services industry
CPSM or other professional certification would be desirable.
