The Enterprise Information Services (EIS) team at Cedars-Sinai understands that true clinical transformation and the optimization of a clinical information systems implementation is fueled through the alignment of the right people, processes and technologies. Currently, we are recruiting for an Epic Security Analyst to join our team. Job Summary: Under general supervision, independently responsible for developing Epic Security Provisioning, user specifications, clinical operations work flows, application build/configuration, testing, and implementation. Participates within project teams and with end-users to develop and recommend design options. Provides project team support, end-user training, and application maintenance/problem–resolution. Job Responsibilities: 1. Builds detailed specifications into the application, and prepares product for testing environment. 2. Identify build specifications and determine optimal configuration based on application options and clinical operation requirements. 3. Receives and works on requested application changes 4. Analyzes, maps, and documents current and future work flow processes. 5. Analyze new functionality within new application releases. May interface with end-user/business owner as needed. 6. Gathers, designs, and develops detailed specifications incorporating business and technical requirements 7. Assists in facilitating meetings with end-users/business owners. 8. Provides application/system support by answering questions and resolving problems/issues from end-users/business owners. Interface with vendors as necessary to answer, resolve or correct problems/issues. 9. Attends and participates in EIS and end-user/business owner meetings. 10. Trains end-users and junior staff as necessary 11. Review and test new releases. 12. Participates in all phases of testing and validation including script/scenario development and unit integration. 13. May coordinate and manage configuration and build projects either on own or in collaboration with others. 14. May be responsible for providing support to other related and stand-alone systems/applications. Serve as a liaison between vendors and CSHS personnel. 17. Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of relevant experience, education and training is required.
Typically requires 1-3 years of relevant work experience. Prefer experience working with healthcare information management systems and/or clinical operations experience. Some project management experience preferred.
