We are currently searching for a highly motivated Sr Manager, Revenue Data Science who will provide support for the Carnival Corporation custom-built Revenue Management System (RMS) for Princess Cruises and Tours within PCL Santa Clarita Office. This position will involve understanding, configuring, modifying this highly sophisticated system and training and assisting users of the system as part of the global team. This role will also lead the evolving requirements for Princess Cruises for the future development aspects of the global RMS. Collaboration with other business units and peers globally will be essential to not only providing high quality analysis, but having recommendations implemented.

Revenue Management System (RMS) Support
Develop a deep understanding of a world leading revenue management system Advise business users in Princess worldwide on the best ways to use the RMS, with recommendations that help improve usage and adoption that align with business strategies Train and supervise more junior staff to ensure a high quality of support is provided to users Establish methods to monitor the performance of the RMS and work directly with business end users to ensure it is working correctly and implement and monitor the outputs of those methods Ensure the RMS is correctly configured to support end users by monitoring and contributing configuration changes Collaborate with other business units to improve the use of the RMS, such integrating RMS outputs into reporting Review the effectiveness of the RMS, both in terms of technical aspects and business process, and identify areas for improvement Lead development proposals on RMS improvements and present these proposals to the global Revenue Management System Change Board to ensure Princess requirements are met
Finding insights from RMS and other data and, with assistance, drive actions based on these findings Support directors and senior executives to understand the strategic consequences of RMS outputs and other data sources which are at a much more granular level Strategic Data-Driven Projects:
Work closely with business stakeholders to make meaningful contributions to strategic data-driven projects. Support strategic projects through high quality analysis and the possible development of decision support tools

Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant quantitative discipline such as Operations Research or Mathematics 8+ years working in an analytical role within an office environment ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users Strong problem solving skills and a motivation to implement solutions to those problems Ability to undertake objective analysis and report on outcomes to business user Ability to focus on outcomes that drive increased revenue and ability to manage one’s own time to ensure the higher priority tasks are given most attention Significant experience with mathematical modelling and a sound understanding of its implementation Ability to code in at least one language At least some experience managing people and tasks Up to 30% domestic and international travel Work beyond normal business hours may be required occasionally to support business needs, projects or operational support that may be required outside of normal business hours or on weekends Preferences
Strong SQL skills Experience with R or other similar software packages Revenue management systems experience Advanced excel usage along with other MS Office software Unix operating system experience Experience working in the travel industry, particularly the cruise industry
