We are currently searching for a highly motivated Sr. Analyst, Revenue Data Science who will be responsible for identifying and solving potentially scientific modelling issues with the RMS. It will include understanding an initial analysis of issues raised by users in addition to actively searching for opportunities for improvement. This role will be the primary point of contact for analysts questioning the outputs of the RMS, listen to and understand the analyst concerns, and be able to determine the cause of issues independently or by working with more specialist resources.

Work collaboratively with business users on ways to increase adoption by: o Ensuring the RMS is correctly configured for various situations to give accurate results
o Developing improvements for unusual situations
o Educating staff on technical aspects of the science models and the interpretation of the data and results
o Working with senior business users and reservations systems personnel to ensure that changing business requirements are accurately captured within the RMS
o Ruthlessly identifying weaknesses and identifying ways in which they can be negated or mitigated
Communicate actively and regularly with system users and the managers to understand user concerns Be an expert source of advice by having a deep understanding of the Revenue Management System (RMS), particularly the scientific modules. Develop an understanding of how the RMS assists business users in making revenue management decisions Gain insights from analysis of RMS outputs and, with assistance, drive actions based on this finding With assistance from Data Engineers and other Data Scientists, develop proposals to improve the revenue management system and present these proposals to the global Revenue Management System Change Board

Requirements BA or BS in a relevant quantitative discipline such as Operations Research, Business, Computer Science, or Mathematics Master’s Degree or equivalent of 2+ years working in an analytical role within an office environment Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users Strong problem solving skills and a motivation to implement solutions to those problems Ability to undertake objective analysis and report on outcomes to business user Ability to focus on outcomes that drive increased revenue and ability to manage one’s own time to ensure the higher priority tasks are given most attention Ability to work well in a diverse and multi-disciplinary team Experience with mathematical modelling and a sound understanding of its implementation Ability to code in at least one language Up to 30% domestic and international travel Work beyond normal business hours may be required occasionally to support business needs, projects or operational support that may be required outside of normal business hours or on weekends
Preferences Experience with relational databases including using SQL Experience with R/SAS or other similar software packages Advanced excel usage along with other MS Office software Unix operating system experience Experience working in the travel industry, particularly the cruise industry Revenue management experience or revenue management systems experience
