Budget Title: Senior Staff Assistant (SL-3)
Salary: $55,000 - $65,000
The Graduate School at Binghamton University (SUNY) seeks an energetic, self-motivated and customer focused individual for the position of Assistant Director for Admissions Systems and Analysis.
Reporting to the Assistant Dean & Director of Graduate Admissions, the Assistant Director for Data Analysis and Admissions Systems manages admissions systems and provides data expertise and reporting.
The successful individual's scope of responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Providing data analysis to meet the needs of the Graduate School in understanding national and international graduate education trends, planning of recruitment strategies and facilitating Graduate School policy implementation
Identifying data needs and other data visualizations to be used in queries, planning, and analysis; and provide ongoing as well as annual data analysis and reporting
Ensuring the accuracy of Graduate School data, developing error reports, resolving any data errors and inconsistencies
Supervising two report writing Graduate Assistants
Serving as the primary administrator of Slate, a customer relationship management system provided by Technolutions, deploying and supporting each facet of platform
Maintaining faculty and staff access, troubleshooting issues, providing training as well as assisting in the implementation of best practices across academic departments to ensure optimal utilization of CRM functionality
Assisting with annual cycle preparation processes, including implementing process improvements as well as testing and implementing new features to improve office data use and enhance the experience of prospective students
Managing the online application review process, ensuring accurate processing of applications and supporting documents
Developing creative solutions and incorporating new processes to improve workflow, production, security and efficiency
Ability to access, manage and analyze data using different databases and file formats
Demonstrated experience with a CRM
Demonstrated analytical thinking and excellent customer service and systems aptitude required
Ability to work successfully as part of a team in a fast-paced office environment required
Experience and knowledge of SQL is preferred
An earned master's degree in a discipline relevant to the duties of this position as described above
Prior work experience and familiarity with SLATE platform
Experience and familiarity with data analysis, statistical methods, and enterprise systems
Familiarity with programming, coding, and query system will be an asset
Ability to work independently and manage multiple and changing priorities
High level of initiative and goal orientation, including motivation to achieve aggressive goals
Commitment to teamwork and strong interpersonal communication skills
A high level of organization, attention to detail and time management skills
