Financial Consultant – Wealth Brokerage Services Charlestown, South Carolina

Wealth and Investment Management (WIM) businesses build enduring client relationships through sound, thoughtful and objective advice. We help our clients by developing individualized plans for everything from retirement goals to business succession planning, to family legacy intentions. Services include comprehensive planning and advice, investment management, brokerage, private banking, estate planning strategies, trust, insurance and both individual and institutional retirement.
Provide planning and planning software (Envision) support within an 8 person team that manages over 1 billion in assets. This team role helps supports 3 advisors with approximately 200 households. A successful candidate will have a keen interest in financial planning, be a CFP® Certificant, (or be committed to acquiring that designation), be analytical & detail oriented, have good rapport-building phone skills, and enjoy working in a high-performing team.
Interview new clients to develop/present initial Envision plan
Prepare for client meetings – Envision:
Review current Envision plan and recent client notes
Call existing clients to gather pre-meeting balance sheet, Envision, and “life” updates
Update the Envision software; check for accuracy
Write up suggestions and planning observations for lead Financial Advisor
Brief all meeting attendees by sending summary notes of the client pre-call
Attend meetings where appropriate and present Envision information
Serve as team lead on planning topics such as Social Security, Medicare, Healthcare costs, IRA Strategy, etc.
Coordinate planning follow-up as needed with Private Bank team members (Wealth Advisor, Wealth Planner, Trust Officer, Insurance Specialist, Philanthropic Advisor)
Track Envision completions and compliance across the team book of business
1+ year of investment advice experience; or an active professional designation in at least one of the following: Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS), Accredited Wealth Management Advisor (AWMA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (tm), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), Certified Private Wealth Advisor (CIMA), Certified Private Wealth Advisor (CPWA), Certified Wealth Strategist (CWS)
Successfully completed FINRA Series 7 and 63 or 7 and 66 exams to qualify for immediate registration (or FINRA recognized equivalents)
An active CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (tm) certification
Brokerage or wealth management experience
Knowledge and understanding of financial services industry: wealth management, brokerage, or retirement
Knowledge and understanding of brokerage functions support
Brokerage client support experience
Registration for FINRA Series 66 (or 63 and 65) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
Designated insurance license requirements must be completed within 90 days of hire date. Compliance with state law requirements is required.
Obtaining and/or maintaining appropriate Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) license(s) is required for ongoing employment in this position. In addition to state registration, specific product licenses or SAFE licensing may apply. Wells Fargo will initiate financial and criminal background review process at the time of offer acceptance.
