Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Financial Systems Security Analyst for the Office of the University Controller. This position reports to the Senior Manager Financial Information Systems (FIS). The Financial Systems Security Analyst is primarily responsible for the security administration of the financial systems supported by the Rutgers University Controller's Office. Additionally this position contributes to the creation, deployment and maintenance of policies related to the security administration of university-wide financial systems.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Responsible for developing, configuring, testing, maintaining and migrating and maintaining security roles including development, testing.
Provides application support and direction to all University users of financial information systems
Acts as a resource to aid in resolving system problems
Assists in month/year-end fiscal closing processes; and supports training and communication initiatives on financial information systems.
Provides timely and professional customer service to end users within the Controller's Organization and to the university-wide financial systems user community.
Performs audit remediation validation for compliance to security policies/standards
Creates policy compliance procedures including compliance measurement reports/dashboard and updates/develops ISP, policies, training materials, website, procedures, controls, etc.
Implements and oversees a recertification process to validate user roles and financial systems accesses related to the Controller's Office.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Requires a bachelor's degree preferably in computer science; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
A minimum of five years of relevant professional experience in a financial systems and security, preferably Oracle ERP.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
In-depth knowledge of the Oracle Security design and Role Based Security Model
Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills to include pivots, vlook-up and reference, advanced formulas, data merges, etc.
Vast knowledge of Oracle forms such as templates, format, load etc.
The ability to work as part of a team, think independently, multi-task, and manage changing priorities.
Experience in design and implementation of Oracle Financial systems and in solving the Security configuration and conflict resolution
Proficiency in Oracle SQL / PL SQL and Oracle Data Models within ERP
Understanding of BI publisher report development and security
Experience in completing the Bi-Annual system audit with the current industry standards
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills;
Strong understanding of the relationship between system configurations and accounting to ensure accurate sub-ledger to General Ledger accounting
Master's degree in a related field.
Experience with financial systems in higher education
Advanced knowledge of Oracle Financial systems, including General Ledger, Projects, Awards, Expense, Accounts Payable, Cash Management, Procurement, Inventory and Accounts Receivable
Experience with, and strong knowledge of, Oracle ERP
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and practices (GAAP)
Understanding of non-cloud systems such as PeopleSoft, Student Financial Services, ScholarChip, etc
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
May be required to work extended hours during the monthly and year-end closing period and other peak periods throughout the year
