As part the Analytics Data team, the Analytics and Valuation Data Analyst will be responsible for the overall process related to pricing and analytic data (e.g,, duration, delta) used as inputs to the investment process and the oversight and maintenance of market data (e.g., yield curves, volatilities) used in their production. The ideal candidate is highly knowledgeable regarding both fixed income and equity pricing and analytics, is detail oriented, has a strong sense of responsibility, works well independently but also as part of a team, and is knowledgeable of different systems tools and workflows to analyze and control data.
Specific responsibilities include:
Work closely with management team, systems teams, quantitative investment teams, and other internal clients to develop, perform, and monitor sound workflows, controls, and procedures to review analytic data that is an input to the investment process
Execute daily validation and remediation procedures, ensuring the integrity and consistency of pricing data and analytics across multiple platforms
Identify opportunities and lead efforts to increase productivity, develop scalability, improve data quality, and augment controls for analytics
Engage with internal and external pricing and analytics providers to resolve issues and ensure best sourcing of data from preferred vendors
Assist in developing data management tools that will help the team proactively identify trends within the valuation space, share that content throughout the firm, and enhance the oversight of our pricing vendors
Assist manager with the oversight of daily processes and client service
Timely, accurate, and thorough support of complex and routine inquiries initiated by portfolio management, trading, performance, and fund admin teams
Identification, ownership, and resolution of business and systems issues through interaction with IT, data vendors, brokers, and internal clients
Lead efforts to identify and implement process improvements
Specific qualifications include:
The candidate must be highly knowledgeable of a wide range of analytics and process controls
The candidate is required to have a Bachelor's degree with relevant financial services industry experience
Exhibit expertise in multiple security types and pricing methodologies
Strong understanding of investment analytics including internal and external calculation libraries and use of analytics in investment process
Demonstrated quantitative data skills in areas such as statistics and financial analysis are preferred.
Exhibits a proactive nature and approach to learning, problem identification and problem resolution
Thoroughness, attention to detail and the ability to think and work independently and within a team environment
Strong organizational, prioritization and multi-tasking skills
Strong problem solving skills
Quick learner with ability to apply business and industry knowledge
