Responsible for the administration and support of automated systems including construction and testing of applications within designated departments/divisions. Responsible for Epic end user access provisioning, Epic provider (SER) maintenance and support of EpicCare Link. The analyst will have experience in and perform the duties associated with the analysis, design, build, testing, training, go live and production support of the Epic Security related systems and processes. A solid technical and application understanding/aptitude of Epic and security aspects is critical for this role.
Works with designated entity personnel in establishing strategic system plans and implementation efforts. Recognizes and makes management aware of issues and potential problems and demonstrates initiative in determining possible solutions. Recognizes and participates in work process improvements as appropriate. Interacts with vendors as required. Formulates and defines system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems. Prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Designs, codes, tests, debug documents and maintain those programs.
Minimum Education Requirements
High School Degree or GED required.
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experience required
Minimum Experience Requirements
2 years of healthcare application experience required
Knowledge of healthcare operations strongly preferred.
Must be able to work independently.
EPIC certification strongly preferred (required within X months of hire)

Providing application support and responding to end-user requests for assistance. *
Updating and maintaining system dictionaries, PCS work files, claim forms, schedules, TES rules, Security roles, DBMS queries/reports, encounter forms, form letters, and interfaces. Codes, tests and debugs programs. Troubleshooting issues and resolving problems. Developing, testing, documenting and implementing solutions and enhancements to meet user needs. *
Organizing, prioritizing, and coordinating tasks, workflow, and projects. Analyzes, designs, and make recommendations to improve existing systems and/or methods, and provide written, detailed reports of such. *
Participating in project teams tasked with implementing new modules/functionality, and system upgrades. *
Generally responsible for system support. Ability to coordinate various systems. *
Assesses assigned user areas for efficiencies and effectiveness. Evaluates alternative services and technology solutions on an ongoing basis and assures cost-effective solutions. *
Coordinates the preparation of departmental and interdepartmental policies and procedures, job functions, operating procedures, manuals, and system documentation.*
Maintains complete and up-to-date project documentation for all assigned projects. *
