Global Security Specialist – Contract Guard Services

To provide management and leadership oversight of the contract guard service vendor in Pennsylvania, ensuring the execution and implementation of Global Security protocols and objectives through the operations of the Security Command Center and security officer workforce.
Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee and manage the AlliedBarton security operation at Vanguard. (Present AlliedBarton staff consists of 160 management and security personnel) Plans, develops and manages the corporate protective force programs. Works with AlliedBarton Management to ensure that the security programs and strategies are effectively implemented and maintained. Conduct weekly client meetings to discuss and resolve current issues and receive status reports and ensure compliance on monthly requirements.
Manage and oversee the daily operation of Vanguard’s Shelter in Place Program. Conduct drills and training sessions in all PA. buildings and advise on drills and the SIP program with all domestic and international sites. Supervise, mentor and advise the Randstad contractor assigned to assist with the program. Conduct weekly update meetings with Head of Security and Bi-weekly meetings with the CREFM Dept. Maintain dashboard and action item log to ensure compliance and proper follow up on issues.
Manage the Weekly Camera Checklist program ensuring that all building’s camera equipment is working properly and issues are being addressed. Manage and resolve the daily inquiries and issues that arise from Crew, other departments, AlliedBarton Management and security officers.
Analyze the AlliedBarton security footprint on a bi-annual basis to evaluate the effectiveness of the operation with regards to staffing and proper security coverage. Review, update and make proper changes to AlliedBarton operating manuals on a yearly basis. These include the Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) Manual, Specific Post Orders, Security Command Center Dispatch Manual, SCC emergency checklist and Gate Post Orders.
Manage Vanguard’s Parking and Transportation Program. Oversee parking enforcement with AlliedBarton Security. Review daily logs and address issues with violators. Follow procedure for crew with multiple violations. Escalate issues to management and HR when appropriate. Work with contractors on compliance. Conduct status meetings with Head of Global Security. Maintain documentation on action taken. Handle and resolve daily inquiries on parking issues, Rideshare, Temp Handicapped, disputes, etc.
Conduct in depth Security Building Inspections in all PA. facilities on a bi-annual basis. Inspections will identify vulnerabilities and assess risks. Make recommendations of appropriate and required security measures, techniques and methods to assure and improve the protection of personnel, activities and facilities of the organization. Review knowledge of post security officer on key procedures (Breach, SIP, etc.). Direct issues found to appropriate departments for follow up and completion.
Coordinates and manages the security operation during company events both on and off Vanguard sites. Develop security ops plans, conduct advance surveys and meetings, arrange proper security coverage and conduct pre event meetings with security staff. Manage event and serve as liaison between departments, CEP, local authorities and local venues.
Oversees the security function of building construction projects. Coordinates with security integrator, CREFM, project manager and the contractor trades to ensure that work is completed on time and budget. Reviews security project designs and conducts onsite progress assessments to insure design specifications meet the security needs.
Serves as the liaison between Global Security and CREFM (Facilities). Works with management on policy decisions. Resolves issues that intersect both departments. Attend project meetings. Coordinates weekend facilities project work for security staff. Ensures that there is proper security coverage for projects and that contractors are following established security procedures.
Oversee the development of the Randstad SIP coordinator and the AlliedBarton Tactical Security Analyst. Serve as a subject matter expert to Global Security Staff and mentor on their development.
Responsible for the management and resolution of incidents that occur after normal business hours and on weekends for a scheduled ten weeks per year. In addition, must be available twenty four hours a day, seven days a week, three hundred sixty five days a year for exigent circumstances.
Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned. This includes, but is not limited to, investigations, incident response, HR Termination/Suspension assists, workplace safety, avoidable breach (BHAG) project, Quarterly SCC Contingency Testing, etc.
Education & Experience:
An undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Minimum of 5+ years general experience with a minimum of 2+ years of experience in the security field
Knowledge of security systems and equipment
Strong PC knowledge
