Banner is looking for an IT Security Analyst to join their Data Protection team at the Banner Corporate Center Phoenix Plaza, located on Thomas and Central in Phoenix, AZ. These are full time, full benefitted roles with Banner Health, not contracts.
Data Protection is one of six foundational pillars that makes up Banner's Information Security Department. The Data Protection pillar is responsible for identifying, classifying, protecting, and monitoring the various types of data present in the Banner Health environment to prevent unauthorized exposure. This position was established to manage various aspects of the Data Protection function.
Collaborate with business owners and organizational stakeholders to define, implement, and maintain an Enterprise-wide data protection strategy, including cloud data security.
Participate in the operation of a data loss prevention (DLP) solution in accordance with enterprise data security and classification standards; work with vendors and third-party contractors to implement DLP software solutions.
Collaborate with the IT Infrastructure team to implement technical mechanisms to encrypt sensitive and critical data while in-transit or at-rest in accordance with regulatory, contractual, and business requirements; ensure all data transmissions between applications and devices are secured.
Develop and implement processes to mask sensitive data in accordance with regulatory and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with appropriate teams across Banner Health to build and maintain an inventory of systems, applications, databases, and file storage locations, including designations of criticality based on types of data stored, processed, or transmitted.
Collaborate with the Enterprise Risk Management team to develop and maintain minimum control profiles required for systems, applications, databases, and file storage locations based on criticality and sensitivity of data stored, processed, or transmitted.
Identify, implement and maintain data channel security technologies to monitor and prevent unauthorized data access and/or usage.
Develop and maintain processes for the recovery of data in the event of an adverse event or loss of data.
Knowledge of data protection controls
Understanding of data classification tiers (e.g., Critical, Classified, Internal Use Only, Public, etc.) and the applicability of control profiles based on the selected classification
Understanding of information security threats affecting the healthcare industry
Awareness of governance frameworks, including but not limited to: ISO 27001, NIST CSF, COBIT, ITIL, PCI DSS
Professional IT Accreditations: CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC, EAP, etc.
