IT SECURITY ANALYST, Information Systems and Technology (IS&T), to join IS&T Security. Will develop and manage security services such as network- and web application-based vulnerability scanning, virus management, and intrusion detection; collaborate with teams across campus to ensure security is incorporated in projects; oversee the planning, execution, and management of multifaceted projects related to compliance, control assurance, risk management, security, infrastructure, and data security; serve as subject matter expert for performing vendor risk assessments and as a primary support contact for security issues at the Institute; monitor the legal and regulatory environment for recent developments; assess client needs against security concerns and articulate issues and potential risks; communicate with multiple departments and levels of management to resolve technical and procedural information security risks; represent IS&T Security among other MIT departments and committees; conduct knowledge transfer training sessions to security operations team upon technology implementation; and develop security awareness training materials and conduct training sessions.
REQUIRED: bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field; minimum of five years' combined IT and security work experience with broad range of exposure to systems analysis, application development, and systems administration; at least three years' experience with IT security; working knowledge of security issues, regulations, techniques, and implications across computer platforms; proficiency with scripting languages (Python, Ruby, PERL, etc.), REST, LAMP; experience with DevOps and data analytics concepts; experience designing and implementing security solutions; security certification, i.e., Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP); comfort working with multiple teams and technologies to develop integrations between platforms and automate workflows; and strong analytical, development, networking, and communication skills.
