As an Associate Cyber Security Analyst, you would support information security policies, standards and procedures to secure and protect data residing on systems. Work directly with user departments to implement procedures and systems for the protection, conservation and accountability of proprietary, personal or privileged electronic data. Generally work is self - directed and not prescribed. Works with less structured, more complex issues. Serves as a resource to others. Work in a team environment to help identify and report cyber security indicators of compromise from internal systems. Investigate alerts and alarms to generate incidents of interest for investigation, make the determination for escalation into team investigations and provide collaboration for ultimate remediation. Will work in the Cyber Defense Security Operations Center as an data analyst, on a set (4x10 Monday through Thursday - 12 noon to 10pm) shift. Primary Responsibilities: Initial Triage of Security EventsProcessing of RequestsSupport of Entitlement Reviews and remediation of exceptions Participation in Quality Reviews Understand and enforce General Computing Controls Support the Develop and Maintenance of Internal Procedure Documentation Identify security administration deficiencies, recommend improvements, and assist to implement corrective action Execution of month end reporting Secondary On - call responsibilities when assigned Generally work is self - directed and not prescribed
Requirement Qualifications: HS diploma / GED 2 or more years of support experience in an IT field Experience with Microsoft Office for Data Analysis Preferred Qualifications: Cyber security experience Experience using enterprise SIEM technologies Experience using SQL queries (e.g. Select Statements) Security certifications highly desired (e.g. CCNA, CEH, Security+) Experience with case management or incident management products and procedures Technical knowledge of networking, security controls (IPS / IDS, Firewall, Endpoint Protection, etc) and information security concepts Knowledge of trouble isolation, log analysis, event correlation, and data analysis Technology Careers with Optum.
