The Corporate Security Analyst is responsible for assessing, monitoring and executing a portion of General Motors Financial's Physical Security Program. This position ensures that GMF personnel conduct company business in the safest and most secure environment possible and that GMF infrastructure is protected from external and internal threats. This position also conducts security and safety system designs, threat assessments, physical security hazard / risk assessments, security surveys, program compliance reviews, and assists in the development and implementation of general protection strategies and processes.
Responsible for monitoring and responding to security threats that potentially impact GMF operations and personnel
Conducts physical security hazard and risk assessments at GMF facilities; develops comprehensive hazard / risk assessment report outlining site specific risks and mitigation strategies
Documents policies, procedures and standards based upon guidance from Corporate Security Management.
Participates in projects and assignments to support GMF business units as needed.
Provides analytical or investigative support to HR and Legal as requested
Champions GMF security awareness programming; develops and delivers education and security training programs as identified by Security Management. Conducts training for GMF employees on Workplace Violence Prevention and Active Shooter Response Options.
Recommends changes in security policies and practices in accordance with changes in law or financial sector security practices.

Knowledge of contemporary security practices and related legislation, regulations, advisories, alerts and vulnerabilities.
Ability to draft security policy, security education and compliance training documents for managerial review.

Bachelor's degree in Security, Criminal Justice, or related field or equivalent experience.
1-2 years related experience in a corporate / physical security related discipline in an analyst, specialist or consultant capacity; military or law enforcement experience preferred.
Professional Certification Preferred (CPP, PSP, CFE)
Professional industry association affiliation preferred
